Yangshan Sketching Base of Nanjing University of the Arts was built and put into use in the Spring of the Year of the Sheep with the care and support of the leaders of Yangshan Town, Huishan District, Wuxi. It was the first art sketching base in Jiangsu Province, and a comprehensive base that integrates farm family resort, accommodation, entertainment, conferences, exhibitions, academic exchanges, fishing, sketching, and training. In addition, "Yangshan Art Museum" stands alone in the base, thus providing the best platform for art exchanges, exhibition, collection, research and sales. At the same time, it also guarantees art appreciation and popularization. The base has a construction area of 3,300 m², of which 300 m² are occupied by art galleries. There are 2 large suites, 22 standard rooms, 26 multi-person rooms, 4 private rooms, and conference rooms, entertainment activities rooms, multi-functional exhibition hall, gift shop, clinic here, along with a dining hall that can seat 200 people at the same time.

The range of sketches includes the whole territory of Wuxi, Lion Mountain, Changyao Mountain, Peach Blossom Island, Dayang Mountain, Xiaoyang Mountain, scenic landscape of Lingshan, City of Three Kingdoms, Water Margin City, Liyuan Park, Plum Garden, Taihu Wonderland, Dangkou Ancient Town, Nanchan Temple, Huishan Ancient Town, Xihui Park, ancient canal tour at night, etc. You’ll find various beautiful sceneries here too, including idyllic scenery, places of interest, water town in south of Yangtze River, ancient towns with style of regions south of Yangtze River.
