Peach gum (also known as peach oil, peach fat, peach blossom tears) is a resin secreted from the bark of plants in the Rosaceae family, such as peaches or mountain peaches. It mainly contains galactose, rhamnose, alpha glucuronic acid, fat, protein, etc., and has the effects of clearing blood and lowering cholesterol, relieving stress, and anti-aging and skin rejuvenation. Peach gum is naturally secreted by peach trees or forms wounds under external forces. The viscous liquid evaporates through sunlight to produce a solid. Dried peach gum is crystalline and hard, resembling amber in appearance. It has sufficient water solubility and appropriate viscosity, and after soaking in water for more than ten hours, it becomes soft.
